Weave Pictures Announces New Short Film "The Block: When You Can’t Write"

Weave Pictures announces the upcoming short film “The Block: When You Can’t Write, directed by Louie E. Marič and written by Siria Ostini. The project is currently in pre-production, with the screenplay recently completed.

Director Louie E. Marič will lead the project under the Weave Pictures banner, collaborating with writer Siria Ostini to bring the story to the screen. With the script finalized, the team is moving into the next phase of development as preparations for production begin.

Logline
A woman, a typewriter, and a red telephone. Forced to write in a room that reflects the chaos of her mind, a writer falls into a psychological clash with her inner voice, represented by the phone, which seems to want to limit her creativity, forcing her to confront and return to the ideas she has discarded.

About Siria Ostini
Siria Ostini, born in Como in 2000, has demonstrated a natural aptitude for the performing arts and music from a young age. Her educational journey began in the field of Multimedia Audiovisual and photography, and continued with studies in Screenwriting and Directing at the Griffith Academy in Rome.

During her academic career, Siria revealed a remarkable sense of observation and photographic memory, qualities that made her particularly well-suited for the role of Script Supervisor, a discipline in which she later earned a Master’s degree. Over the years, she has participated in various short films, including the award-winning “Toska” by Tommaso Barba.
